Funny Irish PSAMarch 16th, 2010 by BloggerListen here: If you have time….March 3rd, 2010 by BloggerSo you may remember the band OK Go from their viral video on the treadmills. Well they’re at it again with a new video that may have taken it to the next level. If you have time, check out this erector set dujour - it’s quite impressive. Balloon Boy’s Dad is an IdiotJanuary 6th, 2010 by BloggerSo after pleading cuilty to the “Falcon’s Flying Away” hoax, this idiot goes on Larry King expecting us to believe that he only plead guilty to keep his family together and that it really wasn’t a hoax after all… check this out: But wait, it gets better… check out the attempt at a fake cry to try to seal the deal for the gullible amongst us: If this man gets as much as a penny from any reality TV producers or book publishers, I think I will have to move to another planet because I simply cannot coexist with people like this. If ever I’m not on the air unexpectedly, it’s because I ran into this guy at the grocery store - please call a bondsman. Why I Drive A SubaruJanuary 5th, 2010 by BloggerSo while we were at the Hyatt Downtown reveling in the fun that was The MIX 100 New Years Eve Bash, Travis Pastrana was jumping one of his Subaru WRX STI Rally Cars some 269 feet onto a floating barge setting a world record. Sometimes I am jealous of his well-financed exploits, however I think if you hang out with him, it’s only a matter of time until you’re in a cast or worse. Check out the insane video and note how nicely the Subaru flies: Taylor Swift had some work done…..April 15th, 2009 by Bloggeror maybe she’s just blossoming before our eyes. Taylor is known for her sweet, young, innocent image - but is that changing? She’s 19, she made $5.5 million last year, her album was #1 for weeks and weeks and weeks….. but today I saw some pictures on the internet that seem suspect to me. She’s posing on her bed looking (dare I say) sexy, but she looks different. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is, but I think she may have had some work done. She looks like a young Faith Hill! Of course, it may be that she’s just growing up - which many teenagers tend to do sometimes. Have a look for yourself and see what you think…. Reality TV is a waste of your life!March 19th, 2009 by BloggerSo I was having a conversation with my friend Amanda yesterday, and we got on the topic of Reality TV. She was telling me how she is “addicted” to watching reality shows like American Idol, Dancing With The Stars and a few others. We started to add up the time spent watching these shows and the results were astounding. She watches two hours of Idol each week as well as two hours of Dancing With The Stars. She’s also a fan of Celebrity Apprentice and Hells Kitchen. There are a few others that she watches here and there, but we’ll just safely say that she watches 6 hours of reality TV per week. Here’s where it gets fun… If she watches 6 hours per week, that equates to 24 hours per month. I the typical season of these reality TV shows last just 3 months, that adds up to 72 hours. Now let’s assume the typical human is awake and functioning for 16 hours per day… That means that in the span of just 3 months, she has wasted 4 and a half days of her life watching others live theirs. Astounding! Now if you consider that perhaps she watches similar shows when Idol and Dancing are not on, she could possibly spend 18 days per year watching reality TV. That’s 2 1/2 weeks of her life wasted each year watching “Reality” TV. This is sick and wrong…. people need to evaluate whether or not they want to live life, or spend it watching others. I know what I prefer - do you? Peace & Love - and Thanx 4 Listening! We’re drinking urine ….March 13th, 2008 by BloggerI don’t know if you heard about this recently, but trace amounts of prescription drugs have been found in the Denver water supply (yes, the water that comes out of your faucet if you live in Denver.) One might ask - “How the hell do prescription drugs make it into our water supply?” There are two theories - neither of which is pleasant to think about. One theory is that people are dumping them down the toilet …. the other is that people are passing the drugs in their urine!! You’ll notice that both of these theories point to the fact that our Denver water consists of recycled waste water. Now I watch The Science Channel and I’m well aware that they have refined filtering techniques and that technically the recycled waste water is deemed safe. I am also aware that they found only limited parts per million of said prescription drugs in the water - but none the less … they found it! This leads me to believe that we’re all drinking a few parts per million of everything else that gets flushed down toilets. This is so very jacked when you think of the fact that we live at the base of the mountains from which the melting snowpack provides water to much of the southwest United States. So here’s my proposal: Let the residents of Denver enjoy clean water from the melted pure wind-blown snow - and let people in Vegas drink our waste water. Deal? Cool - let’s get that fixed then thank you …. Thanx 4 listening - and if you haven’t already - buy a water filter or a Deep Rock cooler A.S.A.P. High Beam EtiquetteMarch 4th, 2008 by BloggerRecently while driving at night I was frustrated by some rude drivers that don’t seem to grasp the rules of the high beams (I’m referring to those on a motor vehicle headlight system by the way - I have no problems with the flashing of the other form of high beams.) This feature is there to help you see farther ahead of your vehicle at night, especially on two-lane roads without street lights. They can also be used to warn drivers of wildlife or obstructions on the road as well as speed traps. If you see a cop and can safely alert the oncoming drivers without the officer seeing you - you should do so … if you don’t that’s kind of uncool. But the point of this rant is to point out that the high beams are supposed to be used when other drivers are not approaching. Therefore, you should turn off your high beams when another car is approaching. Ideally, this should be done before the approaching vehicle is blinded by your lights. It is customary to kill the high beams when you see the oncoming vehicles lights, if they do the same then the cars can safely pass and everyone can be happy. All too often it seems people are too lazy, too selfish, or just ignorant and don’t turn off their beams early enough or at all. Worse than that is the confused and ignorant drivers that seem to think they can positively identify whether or not a persons high beams are on, and retaliate with a punishing flash of their high beams to “alert” you that your high beams are on. This is stupid in more ways than one as you could cause the oncoming car to crash … maybe straight into you! Also, just because a car isn’t coming at you, you still must respect drivers in front of you and don’t ride someone’s ass with your high beams on … this is a good way to inspire road rage and get yourself in a situation you may not wish to be in. And don’t think that my ride has poorly adjusted beams …. I stay on top of that and it ain’t the case. Please just respect other drivers and adhere to the rules of the road. Just because there are increasingly more vehicles on the roads doesn’t mean you can just ignore these tried and tested and collectively agreed upon rules. Thanx 4 listening, Have a nice day! - Geronimo Why We Should Fear Iran Pt. 2January 24th, 2008 by BloggerSo when I saw the video of the young Iranian man and his suicidal ways, I was shocked and somewhat frightened (check out the video in my last blog on “Why We Should Fear Iran”.) Then, I saw this video of a young woman and a young man working together to indulge their selfishly suicidal interests … I was floored. Check it out: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e8e_1200705815 See … proof that the Iranians are crazy!!! Enjoy! Thanks for listening! Why We Should Fear IranJanuary 17th, 2008 by BloggerYou may have seen or heard about the video and audio captured during a supposed “conflict ” between the U.S. Navy and Iranian patrol boats in International waters. This was said by our government to be a “close call” and by the Iranian government as a fabrication. The problem is that the U.S. accounts of what happened very from those offered by the Iranians. After hearing the audio (if you missed it you can find it here: http://www.mahalo.com/US-Iran_Navy_Standoff ) I think I may suspect it could be fabricated … listen to the voice saying “you will explode in two minutes” - does that seem to match the other audio at all? Besides, look at the little boats the Iranians are in … would you take a motorized rowboat to initiate World War 3? Me neither. I’m not sure if the current administration is going to try to start a conflict with Iran before January 2009 or not, but it worries me. However, when I saw this video - I realized that there are much crazier things going on over there … check this out: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b48_1200105797 I know, I know … seems like the Iranians could be even more crazy than we thought. Peace! Thanks for listening! |
